From turtle-laden sanctuaries to dramatic wall dives — Bohol has it all.
Plan the perfect diving trip with our local knowledge and expert advice.

Balicasag, Pamilacan, Cabilao, Anda & Arco Point — ranked by skill level with tips on when to go and what to expect.

Why Balicasag is Bohol's crown jewel — marine life, dive conditions, how to get there, and conservation efforts.

The wild side of Bohol diving — what to expect at Pamilacan, the long-boat journey, and why it is worth it.
Bohol Island is a gem in the heart of the Philippines, offering a unique blend of natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. The iconic Chocolate Hills — over 1,200 conical mounds that turn brown in the dry season — are a UNESCO candidate. Its waters around Panglao Island host some of the finest dive sites in Southeast Asia: vibrant coral reefs, sea turtles, and whale sharks await beneath the surface.
Beyond diving, explore the Hinagdanan Cave underground lake, hike to Mag-Aso Falls, visit the 16th-century Baclayon Church, or relax on Panglao’s white-sand beaches. Best time to visit for diving: November to April.
Direct flights from Manila, Cebu & other cities to Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
OceanJet & Lite Ferries from Cebu City Pier 1 to Tagbilaran Port. Around 2 hours journey.
Book a private van from Mactan-Cebu Airport to the ferry terminal, then cross to Tagbilaran.
Mary, the founder of Bohol Diving Adventures, grew up exploring these waters and created this platform to share the island's magic — helping travellers avoid scams and overpriced operators while ensuring every dive is unforgettable.
A glimpse into the incredible marine world awaiting you in Bohol.

Bohol is home to Balicasag Island — a marine sanctuary with dramatic drop-offs, crystal-clear visibility, massive jackfish schools, and sea turtles. The range of sites suits every skill level.
Best conditions are from November to May — calm seas, excellent visibility. Diving is possible year-round, though occasional rain showers occur during the wet season.
Most sites require at least an Open Water Diver certification. Advanced OW recommended for deeper dives at Balicasag. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving.
Balicasag for coral walls & turtles • Pamilacan for reef sharks & mantas • Cabilao for macro life • Anda for untouched reefs • Arco Point for cave diving.
Bohol diving is very safe with experienced guides and proper protocols. Emergency decompression chambers are available in Cebu City. Always dive within your certification limits.
